Point Reyes

There was a golden Northern California day, some midweek January afternoon spent on a deserted beach three miles in. The sun dared 70 degrees. Perhaps it was just in that spot. It warmed the skin and the sand around it, and everything soaked it in. Skin, sand, water, rocks, trees.

and there was God in the sun. God in the relentlessness of the waves. God in the sun reflecting through the water. God in the sand that is holding you up; the sand you can hold in your hand and feel a part of. God in the breathing in and out. God on the breeze. God in the glimpse that all is One.
